About
|
I am a retired NYC Police Detective who has been drafting high quality, professional resumes for active and retiring law enforcement professionals for over 10 years. In that time I have drafted over 1500 resumes for people seeking to advance in their careers, change agencies, or move on into the corporate world after retirement. My business started many years ago when a co-worker approached me and said "Hey, you write really well, I am retiring and need a resume. Can you help me out?" I took on that challenge, learned as much as I could about resume writing and the employment industry and have been writing over 100 resumes each year ever since.
In recent years I have donated my time as a guest lecturer at Bryant and Stratton College, speaking on topics such as Resume Preparation, Interviewing Techniques, and Preparing for Transition into the Corporate World. I also serve as a Mock Interviewer for students in a variety of Majors, including Criminal Justice, Nursing and Technology, helping to provide a real-life experience designed to demonstrate just what the students will experience when they secure and attend their first real job interview.
In 2017 I was elected Town Justice in the Town of Halfmoon, New York where I preside over Felony and Misdemeanor Criminal Arraignments, Related Criminal Hearings, Small Claims Matters, Summary Proceedings (Landlord and Tenant Matters), Vehicle and Traffic Violations, Town Related Charges (Building Code Violations, Dangerous Dogs and Unlicensed Dogs, and other Town Code Violations), and I also preside over Civil Marriages!
If you are nearing retirement or considering a change in your current position, give me a call or send an email and let me explain how I can help you be prepared for the next phase of your life, position yourself to secure an in-person interview, and ultimately land the job of your dreams.
There is life after police work
The proper flow of the application process should be as follows:
I have a vast array of experience translating the work you have performed throughout your law enforcement career into phrases and descriptions that will translate into the corporate world.
The resume and cover letters I create for you will be individualized based upon your personal history and work and life experiences. Each resume is carefully drafted, reviewed and edited to ensure maximum value to the customer.
I have conducted focus groups with my Human Resources contacts in a variety of industries, businesses and fields, and have created a questionnaire process that allows you to provide all of the information I need to be able to draft a comprehensive resume, in a format most sought after by Human Resource professionals, which will also upload properly and be searchable by the many online employment websites.
In addition to offering resumes for law enforcement professionals, I also draft high quality resumes for professionals in every other industry.
I offer Federal Resume preparation for individuals seeking to explore working within the federal government. These resumes are very complex and must contain specific information or the applicant will be declined. The format must also be compliant with the federal requirements.
In addition, I have an entry level resume service for high school students in need of a professional resume for college applications, or for college graduates who will be stepping out into the workforce for the very first time.
If you have a need for any type of resume, please contact me and I will work to provide the highest quality product in a timely manner, with stellar support and prompt online and postal delivery.
